Dandari
About us
Experienced dancers and musicians in Dandari preserve and care for the Latvian choreographic folklore – games, dancing games, dances in pairs and quadrilles – and pay special attention to the details in the performances. The group was founded in 1980 in Riga and to this day both dancers and musicians are welcome to participate in its rehearsals and concerts.
What we offer
We will create a traditional Latvian atmosphere at your event with music, songs, dances and games. We offer folklore programs for children and adults – from stage performances to joint activities. “Dandari” will share traditions from all over Latvia – Midsummer, masked processions, Easter and other seasonal events.

For Two
Folk dance group “Dandari” mainly plays and dances quadrilles (many-couple dances). This album, “For Two”, is focused on couple dances which “Dandari” play and dance in their rehearsals, events and international festivals.
With the playful mood of this album “Dandari” wants to show how easy and fun dancing is! Try the dances… for two!

Rehearsals take place
in the University of Latvia
(in Riga, Jelgavas street 3)
on Mondays: 19.00–21.30 and
on Thursdays: 19.00–21.30
Comfortable clothes for dancing, a change of shoes and a bottle of water are recommended.
